These are just some ideas that could improve viper. Let viper visualize exactly where the cloud will be placed. Giving viper a higher fire and damage rate while inside her ult cloud. Slowing enemies once they enter the viper ult (not as much as slow orb, of course). Again, I might be missing out on some pieces of information so I'm including buff ideas here. I don't think it needs a lot of buffs and can win rounds if used correctly. My opinion of viper's ult is similar to snakebite. Let viper stand in her own snakebite without taking damage. Giving snakebite a "crippling decay" effect that weakens enemies for a short time after standing in it. This may be too strong, but it's an idea nonetheless. A huge buff for viper would be to know where her snakebite would be placed before she used it, similar to the smoke buff idea I stated before. Both phoenix and brimstone need lineups or guesswork when it comes to using their mollys. Viper's snakebite is a decent "molly" and in my opinion doesn't need much buffs, but in case I'm missing something, I'm including some ideas here. TL DR Let viper section off different lengths of her wall to use for different spots and situations. Letting viper pick a predetermined length for a wall for a setup to take a site then using the remaining length of the wall on a different position to hold site after the spike is planted would be a great modification of her skillset. A possible wall buff for viper would be to let her place multiple short walls or one big wall, so to speak. (Even though phoenix's wall doesn't last long, it can still be incredibly helpful in taking a site). ![]() In addition, phoenix's wall can be curved to fit the situation and cause permanent damage. Viper wall setups can be hard to find and very situational. Letting viper's wall travel through the maps was a step in the right direction, but it's still not enough. TL DR Let viper visualize her smoke placements and make recovering said smoke easier. The way I see it, viper's actual smoke itself doesn't need much buffs, just the placement and recovery options. Another buff may be letting viper pick up her smoke as long as it's within her line of sight like cypher camera. Letting viper visualize a trajectory for her smoke will make placement and execution of said smoke much easier and could be a sizable buff. A simple fix might be letting her use her smoke similarly to how cypher uses his camera. Viper, however, must learn lineups and one-ways to truly make use of her one and only smoke. Brimstone has smokes that can be easily placed in different points all at once and omen can lay down smokes with amazing precision. The major downside to viper's smoke is that it's thrown. I don't pretend to know exactly how this game works and I'm below most average ranks. These buff ideas are meant to be taken with a grain of salt. Here are some ideas to improve viper's existing skillset to even the playing field. Even after some buffs, viper still needs work. Viper at this point is pretty universally accepted to be one of if not the worst agent in the game because of her utility. ![]()
